This Volume contains the scientific reports of the various Groups of the SCRS, as well as papers submitted to, and accepted by, the SCRS. Although some of the conclusions may be provisional, the reports of the meetings contained herein can be considered as official proceedings.
Other scientific papers contained in this Volume have not been approved or revised by the SCRS. Thus, the content of each paper is the responsibility of the author(s). Many of these papers deal with on-going research and their conclusions are therefore not yet definitive.
In order to ascertain the validity of the data and the conclusions contained in the papers, users are requested to contact the authors. Papers which cannot be cited without prior authorization of the authors are indicated.
From July 2017 this publication will only be available in electronic format
A complete serie of Collective Volume of Scientifics Papers from 1973 to 2006 was published in 2007 in DVD and it is available at the ICCAT Secretariat.
In the year 2000 ICCAT joined the Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA), an International Cooperative Information System which comprises an abstracting and indexing service covering the world's literature on the science, technology, management, and conservation of marine, brackish water, and freshwater resources and environments, including their socio-economic and legal aspects. Since then, ICCAT is regularly providing the system with the bibliographic references of the documents published in the ICCAT Collective Volume of Scientific Papers, which are available in the ProQuest LLC bibliographic data bases.

For these special issues ad hoc Editorial Committees were created to carry out the peer review process. In 2007 ICCAT and the Aquatic Living Resources (ALR) journal reached an agreement whereby documents presented to the SCRS could be published in the ALR journal in a special tuna section. As part of the agreement, the SCRS created an Editorial Committee.
